The UAE as is known today was formed In 1971 under the governance of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose vision and leadership played a significant role in the country’s development.
The discovery of oil in the 1950s transformed the country, leading to a rapid growth and modernisation never seen before.
Today, the UAE is known as a global hub for business, tourism, and innovation.

My favourite time of the year to visit the UAE is November to March.

The UAE offers a delightful culinary experience, with a fusion of Arabian, Middle Eastern, and international cuisines. From lavish fine dining restaurants to humble street food stalls, you’ll find a range of options to tentalise your tastebuds.
Voltage
The standard voltage in the UAE is 220-240 volts AC. The country uses the British three-pin plug, so it’s advisable to bring a universal travel adapter if your devices use a different plug type.
Safety
The UAE is generally considered a safe country for tourists. It has a low crime rate and strict security measures in place. The law is very strict in the UAE and infringement can result in high fines or jail so make sure you educate yourself on what is and is not allowed.
